Central Florida man strikes tree in fatal crash

A Central Florida man is dead after striking a tree during a fatal crash. Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened Friday morning on State Road 714 and Red Bug Lake Road. Officials said around 12:58 a.m., a 42-year-old Ovideo man was driving southbound on the SR-417 exit ramp. Authorities said the driver lost control while driving on the ramp, ran off the roadway and hit a tree. First responders said the driver died at the scene. FHP is... + full article
