A video feed called Reels, which debuted on Instagram two years ago, pops up now when my wife scrolls her app. It opened recently with a prank involving a fake mouse and shrieking husband. My wife says she looks at for much less than the user average of 44 minutes a day, and lately spends more time on Reels than other posts.
