Central Floridians forced from their homes by Hurricane Ian’s flooding are now eligible for federal emergency housing assistance. The state of Florida and FEMA added 19 Florida counties, including Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole, to the eligibility list for the Transitional Sheltering Assistance program, which can provide up to $37,900 per household for temporary shelter in a hotel or motel.
